Hey, I have an idea.

Escape from the heat this weekend by staying in the A/C, turning on the console with the least energy consumption (to avoid the brownouts), and have a good ‘ol fashion family game night with a TV twist by enjoying these great games on OUYA!

The Pinball Arcade_Title

For the Warm-Up Act:
Pinball Arcade
by: FarSight Studios

Pinball Arcade features exact recreations of the all-time greatest pinball tables together in one game. Every flipper, bumper, sound effect, and display pixel has been painstakingly emulated in astonishing detail – it’s a great trip down memory lane, and will for sure spark conversations around summer road trips and the way date nights used to be. Each month, regular updates will add on classic pinball tables for purchase. The team’s goal is for the Pinball Arcade to become the most realistic and comprehensive pinball game ever created. Please support them in their efforts to preserve these tables and join the indelible part of Americana that is pinball!

Remember Arcades?
Retro Racing
by: Mr Qwak

This game will take you back to the days of old arcade machine, just like you remember them from your mini-golf days. Choose your car, then skid, slide, spin and drive around the track at breakneck speed, collecting power-ups as you go. Master the perfect racing line, avoid other cars and cones, and speed your way to victory in this adrenaline pumping top-down racer.

Place Your Bets…
You Don’t Know Jack
Jackbox Games, Inc

The irreverent trivia party game and Social Game of the Year! On top of that, anyone in the house can play using their tablet or smartphone by downloading the JackPad App available on Google Play and the App Store. It’s “the best quiz-show game ever made” according to The Onion A.V. Club. Are you ready? More importantly, is Grandma ready?

Settle Your Bets!
by: E McNeill

To settle any remaining ties from You Don’t Know Jack, Bombball is an explosive, fast-paced, uber-competitive eSport that will, for once and for all, determine who really is the King/Queen of your OUYA. It’s a game about close calls, white knuckles, and making the tiebreaking goal before the buzzer. Gather some friends, crank up the volume, and show off your skills! Supports up to two players and best enjoyed with a crowd of spectators.

I would love to have a family games night, but my family and I are still waiting for the three other controllers we ordered so we could play ouya multiplayer games as a family…

  • Shenzakai

Just got my OUYA yesterday and already have a ton of cool games fired up on the d/l queue! Thanks for the tips, I will love to try them since I want to heavily use my OUYA for couch gaming multiplayer sessions :)

Uh… I don’t know if I’d play You Don’t Know Jack with my Grandma, lol. There is some raunchy humor in that game sometimes. I would recommend Towerfall or Hidden in Plain Sight for just about any group, though. Those are both a blast with 4 people!

We over at Triology Studios are very glad to have the OUYA so that we may make tons of games for the community and not pay a single cent. Thank you OUYA for making such a wonderful console and the community for helping us think of some ideas and having fun going head to head with everyone in the office. #FREETHEGAMES
Nice list of games! We will certainly enjoy it as well as the other games we already do enjoy.

These are great suggestions! I like Bomb squad a lot for multiplayer. It is also a pretty deep (but really difficult) game for single player. Supports ps3 controllers too.
