In addition to using a valid credit card to purchase games on OUYA, you may also redeem a balance from any number of prepaid cards, which are available at most retailers where OUYAs are sold.

You may redeem your balance by entering your 10-digit code into your OUYA console when setting up your OUYA for the first time, when making a purchase, or by accessing your account details from the system settings.

Where can I find my code?

You will find your code either printed on the back of the prepaid card (beneath the scratch-off area) or printed on your receipt.

How can I redeem my balance on OUYA?

You may redeem your balance by entering your 10-digit code in any of the following places:

  • When setting up your OUYA for the very first time, you will be asked to provide either a valid credit or debit card or to redeem a code. Select “Redeem a Code” and follow the on-screen prompts to apply the balance to your account;
  • When trying to purchase a game (and provided you have not registered a credit card), you will be asked whether or not you’d like to “Redeem a Code.” You can select “Redeem a Code” and follow the on-screen prompts to apply the balance to your account and complete the purchase using the balance from your card; and
  • You can go into the “Manage” section to update your payment information and redeem a code at any time. To do so, select “Manage” from the main menu. Then navigate to “Account” and then “Payment Info.” There, you will be able to view your current balance and load up additional funds by selecting “Redeem a Code.”

How can I check my available balance?

You’ll see your available balance whenever you redeem a code and load up an additional balance. You may also navigate from the main menu to Manage > Account > Payment Info to view your available balance and load up additional funds.
